Refund policy

What happens to your deposit if you cancel, move or do not come, and what happens when a session is under-filled or we cancel it. Every cut-off is in the venue’s local time.

What you pay is a deposit that secures your place. It is credited against your session when you arrive, and forfeited only if you do not come.

At any time before your session you can cancel for a Chap Live credit voucher worth the full amount you paid, valid for 12 months.

Or, for cash:

  • More than 7 days before the session: a full cash refund.
  • Between 7 days and 72 hours before: a 50% cash refund.
  • Less than 72 hours before: no cash refund, but you can still take the credit voucher, and you can send someone in your place.

Cancel from the private link in your confirmation email. Lost it? Use “Find my booking”.

If nobody comes for a seat, its deposit is forfeited, and so is the fee for each extra person booked who does not come.

If you cannot come because of a death or a hospitalisation, there is no charge: you get a full refund or a free move, whenever you tell us. Write to our inbox with your booking reference. We do not keep medical documents or details.

Moves are free more than 72 hours before your session. Moving to a pricier session costs the difference; moving to a cheaper one refunds nothing.

48 hours before a public session that has not filled, we email every booker a choice: move to another session, or take a full refund. If we hear nothing within 24 hours, we refund you in full automatically.

If we have to cancel a session, you choose a full refund or a move to another session.

A refund returns what you paid, by the route you paid it. Card payments go back to your card through Stripe or Paystack, usually within 5 to 10 working days. Any part paid with a gift voucher comes back as a new voucher.

A gift voucher can be cancelled for a full refund within 14 days of purchase, if none of it has been spent. After that it is not refundable, and it lasts 12 months from purchase.
